Hello there! My name is Sarah. I'm not a born homemaker. I spent the first 10 years of my professional life in the finance industry.
After the birth of my first child, my priorities shifted. I was craving more family time and less rat race. I finally quit my job when I got pregnant with our third child. That's him and I... with a cow on the homepage :)
I was born and raised in Paris. Both my parents were working, therefore I didn't grow up with the model of a stay at home mum that would cook homemade meals, clean, do gardening, and just enjoying being at home.
I was lucky enough to travel as a student. I left home to study in Ireland and then in England. After studying economics and finance I landed in Luxembourg in the investment fund industry where I met my now husband Lewis. Lewis is an Englishman from south England so we spend a fair amount of time there.
We are now settled in Belgium with our three kids in a house with a relatively big garden, so we can work on gardening skills and intend to have chickens in the future. The end goal is to move to our own homestead in the countryside, and to be as self-sufficient as possible.
Follow me on this journey of learning homemaking and dealing with the stress and sometime feeling of overwhelming that comes with it in a positive way.
How did I end up creating activity books for children
The story is quite random actually. We are lucky to live in a very green neighbourhood and in early April the magnolias trees were in full blooms. There were also daffodils, tulips and hyacinths coming out. I knew our rhododendrons will be flowering soon and well as our lilacs. All these colours and smalls gave me the idea of doing a little book for my 5 years old daughter so she can lean about the spring flowers, the ones she can see in our own garden. I had so much fun doing the activity book that I decided to make more and sell them.
